Find Your Model Number

Click on the appliance to see where the Model Number Tags can usually be found.

To find the model, serial and revision number for your appliance, look for the Model Number Tag. Your appliance Model Number Tag will commonly be in the form of a paper sticker or a metal plate. Most manufacturer model numbers are made of letters and numbers (GWT2000AAE) or just numbers (1006500).

The appliance model number tag on your machine may look something like the illustration shown here:

COMMON MODEL NUMBER PLATE LOCATIONS
  • Under one of the burners
  • Under one of the control knobs
  • Underneath the cooktop (if it lifts up)
  • Down-draft models; under intake grate inside the vent duct

COMMON MODEL NUMBER PLATE LOCATIONS
  • Inside edge of the unit (left, right or top)
  • Edge of the door (left, right or top)

COMMON MODEL NUMBER PLATE LOCATIONS
  • Dryer door frame
  • Front of the cabinet (near the top)
  • Inside of the dryer door
  • Inside of the washer door
  • Washer door frame
  • Front or side of the base unit (near the bottom)

COMMON MODEL NUMBER PLATE LOCATIONS
  • Door frame
  • Interior walls of refrigerator or freezer
  • Behind the crisper drawer
  • Behind the kick plate
